Earlier this year, the Taunton School Committee approved 2.3 million dollars to fund the new athletic facility and lights. This money came from the revolving budget so was of no additional cost to the community. This project included a new turf field, new race track, new field lighting and a multimedia scoreboard. Community members are thrilled to have the access for high school athletes as well as younger athletes in town and the surrounding areas.
