As the hot summer days gradually turn into crisp, cool ones, we are reflecting on a busy and productive summer at ILP. One project that really stands out is installing the field lighting at the new Boston Scores complex. Boston Scores provides urban youth with team based educational programs that promote health, well-being as well as opportunities for leadership. They recently completed a 17 million dollar world class soccer and educational facility that will serve as a home for youth soccer in Boston as well as a community and learning space for all residents to enjoy. The park also has basketball courts, playgrounds and classroom space. The directors of Boston Scores said that it was really a dream come true to have this finally completed and ready to be enjoyed.
Another “Field of Dreams” project is nearing completion at Mount Saint Charles Academy. The lighting is complete and the new all purpose turf field is set to be done in October, just in time to host soccer or field hockey games! Also, part of the project is a refurbished baseball diamond with a dug out and batting cages as well as bleachers and a new scoreboard. These were just two of the many projects we completed this summer and we are so thankful for a busy season. We are looking forward to a productive Fall.
